Post-Processing: The Finishing Touch

At DIVRA, our work doesn’t stop with 3D printing. Post-processing is where each product gets its final enhancements, from added strength through shot peening to sleek finishes like polishing, gold plating, blackening, and anodising. These techniques ensure every piece is not only visually stunning but also durable and ready for anything.

Discover how post-processing makes DIVRA products truly stand out!

Shot Peening

Shot peening is like giving your product a toughness boost. Tiny particles hit the surface to create a compressed layer, making it much more durable and resistant to wear and tear. This process also adds a nice matte finish that’s perfect for items like tools and knives, where strength and a rugged look really matter.

Blackening

Blackening gives your product that bold, matte black finish that’s as durable as it is stylish. It adds a protective layer that boosts corrosion resistance, reduces glare, and improves grip. Great for tools, knives, and gear where you want a tactical look without sacrificing performance.

Gold Plating

Galvanic gold plating is the process that gives your product that rich, golden look. It’s not just about the shine though – this thin layer of real gold also adds extra protection from tarnish and wear. Perfect for making jewellery and high-end accessories feel and look luxurious, while lasting longer too.

Anodising

Anodising lets you add vibrant color to metals like titanium, but it’s not just about looks. The process also makes the surface more corrosion-resistant and durable. It’s a fantastic way to customize your accessories or tools while making sure they can stand up to everyday wear and tear – and look awesome doing it.

Polishing

Polishing brings out the shine in metal, leaving it smooth and reflective. Not only does it give your piece that luxury mirror-like finish, but it also helps protect against corrosion by sealing the surface. Whether it’s for jewellery or accessories, polishing adds that final touch of elegance and quality.

Sharpening

For our tools and knives, grinding and sharpening are essential final steps. Grinding smooths the surface and perfects the shape, while sharpening ensures blades are razor-sharp for maximum cutting precision. These processes make sure our products are not only visually refined but also high-performing and ready for use.
